Testimonials of Doctor's Weight Control Center
- Bobby, Gonzales, TX
- When I went to DWCC in March 2005, I had tried various diets, medications, and programs with lack-luster results. I even went for a gastric bypass that fell through due to problems with my insurance policy. I had went from a happy fat man to depressed morbidly obese man with onsets of diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. As a 37 year old paramedic I knew that my health would continue on a rapid decline until I lost a significant amount of weight. I have several of my friends and fellow employees that have been going to the DWCC all with good results, so I tried it. Dr. Richardson opened my eyes and started me on medications that helped control my appetite and eat smarter. My 1st month I lost 26 lbs, after that I added a vigorous exercise regimen. Up until now I've lost over 100 lbs and I'm proud to say that I am taking half the medication I was on before I started. It's not a big mystery—if you eat less you take in fewer calories, if you burn those calories through exercise you can not gain weight, you will lose weight. There isn't even a strict diet to follow, you eat what you want, just less of it. The staff at DWCC is always encouraging, courteous and friendly. I do not believe that I've had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen. If you are ready to make a serious lifetime commitment to lose weight then I encourage you to go to the DWCC and let them help you too! See you there.

- I have been going to Dr. Richardson for 4 months and have lost a total of 49 lbs. The medication he placed me on suppressed my appetite and gave me the energy to burn calories. I not only feel healthier but I see myself healthier now. I would definitely recommend this program for anyone trying to lose weight, you will start to see the difference in as little as 3 months, if you stick with the plan, the medication helps you, but you also have to be willing to help yourself.

- I have tried diet after diet after diet. It was not until I learned that I would not lose weight by dieting, but by learning to eat the way I should. That is what I learned from Doctor's Weight Control Center. Eating, not dieting. Dr. Richardson's individual consultation and eating plan is exactly what got me on the way to a healthy weight. I have received the help I have needed to get started as well as the motivation from the program to keep going for life. Not just for a few pounds. As a result, my weight is adjusting to where it should be. This is not a "one size fits all" diet plan. It is an individual living plan!

- I began my journey with DWCC at the end of October 2004. Today September 1st I have lost 60 pounds but gained TONS ... of energy and self confidence with the help of the wonderful staff at DWCC as well as my own will power. The key is remembering to not get discouraged if the weight comes off slower than you would like because this helps to keep it off. The program along with proper diet and exercise offers true success. I am very pleased and only have 15 pounds to go!

- I had tried all kinds of diets and nothing ever seemed to help then in Feb 2003 I went to Dr. Richardson and it has been wonderful. The first 3 months- 45 lbs and every one noticed how the pounds just seemed to melt away. I felt better about myself and I felt better in general. I eat what I want as long as I stay in my 1200 calorie line. I could not have gone this far without Dr. Richardson. I have 70 lbs to go to my goal and I know I will make it. I have never felt better and have more energy to go do things with my family. I have 3 grown children and 6 grandkids.

- I did not realize how much junk I was putting in my body. Dr. Richardson and his program taught me how to eat correctly. Weight loss is simple when you learn how many calories and fat grams you should eat every day. Fad diets work for a while, but you can't eat like they require forever. Who wants to go through life not eating bread? I lost over 120 pounds and because of Dr. Richardson's guidance I know I can keep them off.

- As I am looking forward to retirement, grandchildren and "free time", I began searching for another "weight loss" strategy. I have done them all-Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast, Atkins, Sugar Busters, Suzanne Powter, etc, etc! A friend of mine recommended Doctor's Weight Control Center. I began my trek to "better fitness" rather than "losing weight" in April 2005. I have lost 43 lbs to date (June 2005) and have not suffered any negative ill effects. I try to stay between 1200-1500 calories daily. Have attended numerous parties and social events since I announced my retirement and have been able to enjoy them without guilt.
Dr. Richardson and his staff have been great motivators-cheerleaders and have been willing to talk to me and answer my questions.
Thank you to them for helping me begin my "new life" as a more healthy, happy person. - Sharon, Montgomery, Texas
- It has been almost a year since I picked up my telephone to call Doctor's Weight Control Center. All of my life, I have been overweight. I would go on a diet-lose weight-feel good-then gain it all back again with a little extra added. I was a human yo-yo!! As I got older, I would gain even more weight and have a harder time trying to lose it. I became obsessed with food. I thought of it all the time. I had my mind set that if "bad food" (the kind that tastes good) was in my house, I had to get rid of it. Of course, what better way to get rid of it than eating it! I would sometimes dream of food. I looked terrible. My husband never told me I was "fat", but I could tell that he was unhappy with my appearance by the way he looked at me when I ate. I would eat late at night just so he would not see me eat. I needed help! Dr. Richardson and his staff did not have any miracle cure nor did they try to give me some kind of fake "pep talk". Instead, Dr. Richardson explained that changing habits cannot come from being on a diet. It comes from changing your life. This, I have done, with the help of all the people at Doctor's Weight Control Center. I have lost 50 lbs-but that's not the best part. I eat healthy without even thinking about it. I am no longer obsessed with food. I don't just feel healthy. I am healthy. Dr. Richardson and his nurses make sure of that. My life has changed. I am now eating to live, not living to eat.

- I have been on the diet for over 5 months and lost about 60 pounds. The plan has worked well for me and is exactly as it was described by the person that recommended it to me. I have lost 12 inches in my waist and my shirt collar went from 22 inches to 19 inches. To say I am pleased with the results would be an understatement. I recommend this process to anyone in need of weight loss. Especially those who have failed in the past. This was my last option prior to surgery. Thanks to Dr. Richardson, it worked.
